Nearest Airport

Melbourne Airport ( MEL) known as Tullamarine Airport, is the primary airport serving the city of Melbourne and is 23km northwest of the city Centre. From the Airport you can get to the city centre by Taxi, Uber, Skybus , Starbus VHA Airport shuttle. SkyBus runs express bus services every 10 minutes between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne CBD, operating all day, every day and they have service desks located at each terminal and provide a free City Hotel shuttle. An interesting and inexpensive way to get from Melbourne Airport to the city is by combined bus and train. Take the 901 bus to Broadmeadows station (a ride of about 20 minutes) and change to the train for the 40 minute trip to Flinders Street (Melbourne central business district).  From Melbourne city to the Phillip Island Grand Prix is approximately 142km away.

 
 

Car Hire and Parking

Take the Monash Freeway (M1) to the Cranbourne exit, where you will turn into the South Gippsland Highway (M420). Follow this route to the Bass Highway (A420), through Grantville and Bass, onto the Phillip Island Road (B420) to San Remo, over the bridge onto Phillip Island, and then turning off onto Back Beach Road where the circuit is located.  The only issue you may face is parking, with different areas having different parking facilities and restrictions. So, make sure to research beforehand to all the attractions you are interested in.

 

Train and Ferry

If you enjoy smooth travels with some stunning scenic surrounds, this route is for you. You have to start of taking two trains, so start by hopping on an inner-city train to Frankston, which takes around an hour to get to. Then take a mere 35 minutes train to reach Stony Point where you will get a taste of sea air. Jumping on a ferry for 45 minutes and whiz past the stunning sprawling hilltops as you cruise through the deep blue sea water. If you have mapped out your route times correctly, you can simply hop off the transports onto the next one without fuss.
