Designed in 1969 and built between 1970-72, has a long and illustrious history in the world of motor sport and it’s an appropriate place for a world class motor circuit because motor sport is particularly popular in this part of Italy. Rimini and Riccioni are both serviced by the Federico Fellini Airport (RMI) international airport. The Federico Fellini Airport to Rimini is 8km south of the city and the Airport to Riccione is 4.3km to the city centre. Airport transfers to Rimini city have the options of Taxi rides, Car Rental. There is a bus service which travels between Rimini Airport and Rimini railway station every half an hour and once at the station you can continue to your destination via taxi if short distance to your hotel. There is a direct train departing from Rimini and arriving at Riccione. Services depart hourly, and operate every day. The journey takes approximately 9 min to Riccione. AM (Agenzia Mobilita) and TRAM Servizi are the main bus companies operating trips throughout the province of Rimini, which means they provide connections with other notable destinations nearby the city or Rimini proper, such as Riccione, Cattolica, Verucchio or Bellaria and in the city.
If there are no flights into Federico Airport, Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) is the international airport serving the city of Bologna in Italy which you can fly into. It is approximately 6 km northwest of the city center in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Bologna to Rimini by train. It takes an average of 1h 04m to travel from Bologna to Rimini by train, over a distance of around 68 miles (109 km). There are normally 26 trains per day travelling from Bologna to Rimini. You can also catch the train to get to Riccione which the average time is 1 hour and 38 minutes, with around 22 trains per day.
