Many travelers opt to book a flight to Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport from their city, since this is the closest major airport to Le Mans and the Paris CDG train station is connected to the airport itself – if you fly into Paris, you’ll need to travel by bus, car or train the remaining 125 miles to Le Mans. Once you land at CDG, you can purchase a train ticket at the dedicated TGVair desk in the SNCF travel center inside the train station.

If you’re already in France or if you’ve just flown into Paris, traveling to Le Mans by train (called the TGV) is one of the most popular, cost-effective and easy options. The average train trip from Paris to Le Mans takes just an hour.

“Panorama” (red park), ‘aerodrome (blue park) and “Houx areas – car or motorcycle parks and campsites are open, without any extra cost. It is compulsory to have a Weekend Grand Prix entrance ticket for access to these areas. The are equipped with toilet blocks.

“Privilege” car park:  is located at “Centre des Expositions”. This parking (no extra charge) is restricted to holders of the “Tribune Privilege” Grandstand.

Centre Expos Area:  This parking (no extra charge) is restriced to holders of the “Mutuelle dces Motards”,  “Triumph”, “Fan Club Rossi”, “Privilege”, “Fan Club Marc Marquez”, “Dunlop”, “Honda Racing” and Ducati” Grandstand tickets.  Motorcyle Parking “Privilege” ( Centre des Expositions) is restricted to holders of “Tribune Privilege” Tickets.

Parking and campsite Garage Vert: This area- parking and camping – is exclusively reserved for ticket holders of the “KTM Garage Vert” and “Canal and Garage Vert” Grandstands. (no extra cost)

La Chapelle Camsite:  This area – parking and camping (no extra cost) is esclusively reserved for ticket holders of the “Dafy La Chapelle” Grandstand. Access by road direction Tours.

Maison Blancehe Campsite: This area -parking and camping- (no extra cost) is exclusively reserved for ticket holders of the “Moto Journal”, “Quest France”, “Repaire des Motards”, “Motul Raccordement” Grandstand tickets.

Controlled motorcyle parking:  Access to controlled motorcycle parking “Parking Controle” (10 000 motorcyles) priority is given to those who purchased their tickets in advance, to be queried if required. Parking is located at “Centre des Expositions” – and includes a facility to leave your helmets.  (**Limited space available)

Coach and Bus

It is possible to reach the circuit using public transport; either by Bus or Tram.  Line T1 goes from Republique to Antares in just 20 minutes, and is a quick and easy way to get to the circuit. Antares is located close to the Mulsanne Straight.

Local Buses will be running from central Le Mans to the circuit throughout the race week. (Bus stop at 15 minutes’ walk from the circuit), City Center ↔ Circuit (near “Exhibition Center”, North entrance):  Line 3: Republic – terminus Oasis, SNCF ↔ Circuit (near “Exhibition Center”, North entrance): Line 17 – terminus Oasis, City Center ↔ Circuit (near Red Park, Panorama, North entrance): Line 12 Republic – St Martin + Line 7 – terminus Les Raineries.  The Oasis bus stop is located around a 15 minute walk from Centre des Expositions entrance, at the North side of the circuit.

TRAM:  Trams operate throughout Le Mans with a regular tram service running from the city to the eastern entrance of the circuit, Terminus Antares.  The East entrance (Green Garage) of the circuit is 150 meters from the tram stop, directly linking the station to the circuit in 20 minutes. Services from 5.30am to 1am.  City Center République ↔ Railway Stations ↔ Terminus Antarès.

Taxi service’s are available in and around the city however it can be pricey.

If you are travelling from further afield, Le Mans is easily accessible by train from most major cities in France, including Paris, Rennes, Nantes, Lille, Lyon and Marseille. From Paris, the journey time is approximately 55 minutes and tickets can be purchased in advance on www.voyages-sncf.com.

In conjunction with the local authorities, SNCF are offering return tickets from any train station in the Pays de Loire region to the circuit. You can book this directly at the train station by showing your Le Mans entry ticket.

Walking from the city to the circuit from the centre of Le Mans is not recommended as it is an 8km walk, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
