The Ciudad del Motor de Aragón, also known as Motorland Aragón, is a 5.344 km (3.321 mi) motorsport race track located in Alcaniz, Spain. it was a street circuit which ran through nearby Alcaniz from 1965-2003. When safety concerns forced the end of racing on the streets, planning began in earnest for a permanent circuit to replace it. The result was the construction of a sporting complex dedicated to motorsport a few miles north west of the town. The facility has been designed to incorporate three main zones; a technology park, a sports area and a leisure and culture area. The Motorland Aragon circuit is located close to the town of Alcaniz which is a small town and offers a limited number of hotels and cottages. The circuit is approximately 240 km from Barcelona and and 240 Km from Valencia. The closest city is Zaragoza which is situated 100 km away. Barcelona, Valencia and Zaragoza offer a wide range of accommodation options so you may want to consider staying in one of these three cities and then travel to the circuit by coach or train. We suggest booking your accommodation in Zaragoza since its the closest city and International airport to the circuit which is 120km away. The city of Zaragoza lies in the north eastern part of Spain, in the region of Aragón which used to be its own kingdom and now Spain’s fifth largest city. Zaragoza has a lot to offer visitors, from museums to grand cathedrals and fortresses, magnificent architecture and fascinating history. Car rental is available from all all cities to the circuit . Parking is free for car and motorcycles at the circuit but is allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Coach and Bus
Coach services are offered by ABASA, HIFE and Hispano Igualadina from major cities to Alcaniz (Please be aware that these coach companies only allow ticket purchases on their websites no longer than 15 days before the date of travel). There will be a free shuttle service from Alcaniz to the circuit over the race weekend. Please note that the timetable for this service has not been released yet and it will become available closer to the event. Bus from Barcelona to Alcaniz is approximately a 4 hr journey. Bus from Valencia to Alcaniz is approximately a 5 hr 30 mins journey. Bus from Zaragoza to Alcaniz is 1 hr 30 mins journey. From Alcaniz can catch the free shuttle if available or taxi to circuit will be another 15 minutes drive.
Taxi
Taxi ranks ( paradas de taxi) are located outside railway stations, at airports, and at main intersections in towns and cities. In major cities you can hail a taxi in the street, but in small towns they’re available only at taxi ranks.Taxis will be running to and from the circuit over the race weekend.
Train
The nearest train station is 28 Km away in the town of Caspe and it can be reached from any major Spanish city. Click here for train times. From here you can take a bus to Alcaniz. Barcelona to Caspe by train is approximately a for hour journey, Valencia to Caspe is approximately a six hour journey .
